Hardest Day of the Year....and a note on boats.

Today is a hard one - it is two years since I lost my mum to cancer. Having said that I am noticing a HUGE difference in how I am coping this year compared to last and that can only be a good thing - my mum would be proud of me :) Don't get me wrong, I still have times when I feel I don't know what to do and how to move forward but at least I'm not dissolving into tears every few minutes.....which is good since I am working for 12 hours today :S

I am planning a majot life overhaul come September and the schools go back. I have no idea quite what I mean by this yet but something has to change! I don't feel like 'me' at the moment and I don't like it. When I figure it out I'll be sure to share! lol

And just one last statement. I don't do boats. At least not after having to be rescued from a hire motorboat off the River Dee in Chester a couple of days ago. Read my lips - no more boats. ever. I thank you.

Hey girl, I'm sorry today is so hard, but glad it's getting easier. I look forward to hearing how things go in September.

You and I are on SUCH similar roads. Man. It's like reading my own thoughts...not feeling like yourself, grief, changes.

And I have never needed a rescue while boating, but I'm pretty anti-boat myself. I endured one this summer in Montana for my kids' sake. They wanted to ride and go tubing, but Alli wouldn't go unless I did. So I went for it and tried not to think about it while I did. I survived buy I'm not joining a boating club or anything!

We are Hill, you're right there. It's good to know we're feeling the same.

I always get very nervous when Harry asks me to do something like that. The last one was one of those curly tunnel slides in the playbarn. I hate them and I have to admit I was a woos and said No. I felt like a very bad mummy but I'd have only made him even more scared of them! I'm such a baby! lol
