Help!!

I'm currently on 8286 in my NaNo word count but I'm getting myself into some real plot holes!!! Any suggestions gratefully received!! For example:

The ex of my main character has been spotter creeping up towards her front door with a mysterious white envelope that looks a bit like a card. He pauses for a second before turning around and getting back in his car and driving away. The neighbour sees him......but what was in the white envelope??? I have absolutely no idea! lol What would you put in it????? lol I should have thought about this first maybe??!! hehehehe

hi hon, think about where you want the characters to go. Are they going to get back together? If so, it could be a letter explaining his actions. If they are destined to part, and he is feeling murderous, maybe have the envelope contain a 'deepest sympthay' card within a deadly germ on it...if they are to part friends, then have the letter be an aplogoy and an invitation to meet as friends.
There is a lot you can do with the envelope...if it were me, and they were to part horribly, I would have the envelope contain something illegal and have the ex call the police to report the recipiant having the envelope full of drugs, or laundered cash! But that's just my twisted mind hehe

hehehehe - I love the way your mind works! They will not end up together, although it may look like they will at some point.....I can just imagine a deadly germ turning up in my little village set chick lit! lol Thanks Suzie!

Hey, don't fogrget a lot of things can happen in small vilages! hehe, just look how many people die in Midsomer (Midsomer Murders).

What I fail to understand, though. Is why do people stil live there knowing they are about to die for TV! lol

Wow...wish I could help. I'm not much help without reading background,etc... I think you've already gotten some help here, though. Keep writing, girl! Don't get stuck. You can always come back and tweak or change things, can't you. That's KIND of how I write. I just go for it and if need be, I'll come back and tweek.
